Hello and welcome to my little corner of the interwebs.
What the frickety frick is the Novel Project Chronicles I hear you ask?
This blog is for anyone who is going through the trials and tribulations of writing a novel and wants to know that they are not alone. It’s for anyone looking for inspiration about what to read next and anyone looking for a bit of motivation to put fingers to keyboard.
It’s a place to follow one woman’s efforts to turn her amorphous ideas into 400 pages of literary gold (Well actually, I’d settle for literary steel, literary iron or even literary tin at a push!).
So who the frickety frick are you then?
I’m Caroline, thanks for asking. I’m a thirty-something social scientist by day and a struggling fiction writer by night (and weekends!).
I have a diploma in creative writing from Independent Colleges Dublin and have written a number of plays which were performed in Dublin studio theatres in 2005/2006. I have also made several abortive attempts at writing novels in the past but am currently 70,000 words towards completing my first draft of ‘the novel’ and will not be backing away this time.
If you’re an aspiring writer, an established one or even just thinking about it I hope you finding something in the blog to motivate and inspire you.
Thanks for stopping by.
